What do I need in order to play Tag Rugby?

If you have registered for a Try Tag Rugby league or tournament, then you will need a pair of ITF-approved tag rugby shorts - these can be purchased from our online shop. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use tag belts in our leagues or tournaments, as these do not offer the same level of consistency and safety as shorts provide. Other than tag rugby shorts, you should bring a pair of suitable footwear (plastic moulded boots or astro boots are fine. Metal studs are not permitted), and a comfortable top to wear. Tags and balls will be provided by the league coordinator/ manager. If you do not have a pair of tag rugby shorts, then a pair can be borrowed at the league for £5. If you have ordered a pair of shorts but they have not arrived in time for your first fixture, then you can show your proof of purchase to the league coordinator/manager and hire a pair of shorts for free. Unfortunetly, it is not possible to purchase a pair of tag shorts from the league coordinator/manager, as these can only be purchased via our online shop.

If you are attending one of our taster sessions, then you only need to bring a pair of suitable footwear (plastic moulded boots or astro boots are fine. Metal studs are not permitted) and a comfortable sports top. All other equipment, including the tag rugby shorts, will be provided at the session.

If you would like to purchase additional kit or equipment, such as rugby balls or your own set of tags then you can do so via our online shop.
